Hull City agree £2mn deal to sign Egypt winger Elmohamady: report Hull City close to agree with club Sunderland to sign Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady on permanent basis
Hull City are close to signing a permanent deal with Egypt winger Ahmed Elmohamady from his club Sunderland when the summer transfer window reopens, Hull's Daily Mail reported on Friday. The report stated that a £2 million transfer fee has been agreed upon, which is the sum that was originally included in the loan deal. Hull City officials and Elmohamady's representatives have begun talks. Although both clubs and Elmohamady are keen to conclude the deal, the two parties remain some distance apart on the personal terms, the report claimed. The 25-year-old winger Elmohamady joined the Tigers on a season-long loan from Premier League side Sunderland last summer. The Pharaohs star was named as Hull City's Player of the Year for 2012/13 after producing a superb performance this term, scoring three goals and creating several others. Elmohamady had a perfect end to the season with the Tigers, thanks to Hull City's promotion to the Premier League. Hull City coach Steve Bruce's close bond with Elmohamady, as he brought the player to England from Egyptian side ENPPI in 2010, maintains the club in pole position to land the Egyptian winger.
