Zimbabwe coach Klaus-Dieter Pagels believes his team's performance in last March's defeat to Egypt will be a driving force in next week's clash in Harare. Zimbabwe host Egypt next Sunday with an outside chance of maintaining their hopes of qualifying for the World Cup, having lost to the Group G leaders in Alexandria two months ago. Even though they have just one point against Egypt's nine, the Warriors boss believes his team are ready to rise to the challenge of facing the seven-time African champions. "I am really happy with the players, they are really engaged," said the German. "They still have the great fighting spirit they had in Alexandria. The match in Egypt gave them more self-confidence. "When we played in Alexandria, we had lot of problems in defense. "But we have identified really good players in defense and some of those will line up for the game on Sunday. "If we can improve, especially in defense, then we will win this game. We had the chance to win there and here we can win as well. "All the boys are physically good, they are looking good. It doesn't matter whether some of the players have been lacking game time at their clubs. They train every day and are in shape."
