Egypt have dropped to 75th in FIFA's monthly ranking for national teams to reach their worst-ever position. The Pharaohs have already dropped to an all-time low when they slipped to 70th last month and now they are behind a host of continental rivals. Egypt, who failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations for two straight years, are now in the same position as Gabon while being surpassed by the likes of Cape Verde, Sierra Leone and Togo. The seven-time African champions play their next competitive game against Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifiers on March 26. FIFA's monthly ranking system weigh all international matches over a rolling four-year cycle.
