Abbas: Palestinians turn page of rift

CAIRO (Updated 1) - President Mahmoud Abbas said in Cairo on Wednesday that Palestinians had turned the "black page" of division at a ceremony to mark a deal to end a rift between his Fatah movement and Islamist group Hamas.
"We announce to Palestinians that we turn forever the black page of division," said Abbas, who was speaking at the ceremony.
