CAIRO - A television series being broadcast throughout the Muslim month of Ramadan has drawn the ire of Egypt's nurses, who view it as an insult to them and their noble profession, sources reported Saturday. "Zuhra and Her Five Husbands", which focuses on an opportunistic and greedy nurse, a role played by actress Ghada Abdul -Razeq, is a blatant insult to the nursing profession, the Cairo-based Nurses' Union said in a statement. Sayyeda Mubarak, a member of the Union's Board, said that the Union plans to sue the series script writer, producer and actress Ghada for allegedly undermining the nursing profession and its members. The union members, she said, are planning to stage a peaceful protest against the series as it “has no basis in truth about Egypt's nurses”.
