Tunisia's telecom market is moving fast in the right direction, experts have repeatedly said. The government and the country's mobile phone operators have been looking at means of improving services. According to Tunisie Telecom, users on its network are now able to discover, via SMS, how many minutes and data they have used since the last billing period. This will be useful for post-paid customers who often want to ensure they do not go over their allotted amounts before the next billing cycle. “The service was previously only offered to prepaid customers to check their remaining credit," said Tunisie Telecom in a statement. “Now postpaid customers can consult their call, text and mobile data consumption simply by sending an SMS," it added. The move should assist the company in garnering more post-paid users who had been apprehensive of the service due to not knowing how many minutes or data they had been using. BN
