Hong Kong (dpa) – The mistress of a Hong Kong tycoon who died leaving three lovers and 16 children won a court battle for his 33-million-dollar estate, a news report said Wednesday. Chiu Yau-chuen, 55, who made his fortune through taxi businesses, disinherited his children and wrote a new will one year before his death, leaving all he owned to his favorite mistress. Six of his children filed a lawsuit alleging that he lacked the mental ability to write a will, leading to a protracted legal battle, the South China Morning Post reported. Chiu Yau-cheun had three mistresses when he died of a heart attack in 2004, according to the newspaper. His ex-wife, the mother of nine of his children, committed suicide a year earlier. A High Court judge ruled Tuesday that the 2003 will was valid and that Chiu Chung Kwan-ying was entitled to his estate, made up mostly of 33 apartments.
