Abdel Nour to Denmark's Ambassador Voices Keenness to Revive Foreign Investments

Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister, Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour asserted that the government is currently seeking to restore the confidence of the Arab and foreign investors throughout huge investment motives.
The Minister pointed out that it is necessary to take positive measures towards removing bureaucracy dilemma in order to help the officials to issue economic decisions.
This came during a long discussion with Pernille Dahler Kardel, Denmark's Ambassador in Cairo and a number of Danish firms representatives operating in Egypt including cement, medicines and logistical transport and storage of grain sectors.
Within the meeting they also reviewed the future of the economic cooperation between the two countries, the ways to increase the bilateral trade and joint investments within the coming phase as well as many common interest topics and the challenges which are facing by Danish labor investments and how to overcome these problems.
Abdel Nour added that the factories have to follow the environmental standers in order to obtain permission for using the coal as a source of energy.
He emphasized that the meeting discussed several problems faced by the Danish investments in Egypt such as problems related to the security in Sinai, asserting that the Ministry is keen on solving and facing the challenges and obstacles which are facing by the investments operating in Egypt.
Abdel Nour confirmed that it is necessary to boost Danish investments throughout enhancing bilateral relationships, economy stimulus between the two countries, noting that the Danish government is supporting the Egyptian interim government politically, economically in this phase.
Kardel said Denmark is keen on enhancing bilateral relationships through business partnership programs aiming to boost the Danish investments in Egypt, stressing the possibility to expand the investments and to allure fresh Danish investments in the Egyptian market.
