Asia-Pacific markets closed with a mixed performance on Wednesday, diverging from Wall Street, as investors analysed China's industrial profits data. Japan's Nikkei 225 closed slightly higher, rising by 0.3 per cent to finish at 42,520.27. The Topix index slipped 0.07 per cent to 3070.00. South Korea's Kospi increased by 0.25 per cent to close at 3,187.16, while the Kosdaq remained steady at 801.72. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rose by 0.28 per cent to 8,960.50.
