Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Thursday met his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, to discuss areas of bilateral cooperation and regional issues of mutual concern, the Cabinet said. Madbouly emphasised the need to capitalise on President Sisi's visit to Doha in April, where Qatar committed $7.5 billion in investments. They are now working on implementing this investment package. Madbouly reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to engaging with the Qatari business community, facilitating procedures, and strengthening investor confidence in Egypt's opportunities, the statement added. On regional issues, they emphasised their joint coordination with the United States to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and allow humanitarian aid delivery, while firmly rejecting any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians.
