Egypt appoints Maged Ismail as chief of space agency

Egypt has appointed Maged Ismail Mohamed Ismail as chief executive of the Egyptian Space Agency (EGSA) with ministerial rank for a one-year term, the Official Gazette said on Monday.
The appointment, effective August 19, was issued under Presidential Decree No. 439 of 2025 in line with the Constitution and Law No. 3 of 2018 establishing the agency, it added.
