Egypt's Deputy Health Minister for Governance, Oversight and Institutional Development Mohamed El-Tayeb has chaired a meeting to enhance the application of occupational safety and health standards in medical facilities. The meeting, attended by heads of sectors and officials from relevant departments, focused on implementing executive plans to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and patients while reviewing recent performance indicators. El-Tayeb stressed the importance of adopting proactive measures to prevent risks, including strengthening emergency preparedness systems and reducing potential hazards. Discussion also reviewed a work plan to improve monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, covering updated regulations, expanded training on emergency and evacuation procedures, and the integration of modern technologies such as early warning and smart evacuation systems.
