Egypt's Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has stressed the need for faster responses to patient needs, regular performance evaluations for healthcare staff, and accountability for underperformance. He further underlined the need for a governance system for patient admissions and discharges, maintaining strategic reserves of medicines and supplies, and ensuring fair distribution among facilities. Abdel Ghaffar discussed the upcoming work plans with ministry leaders, sector heads, and health directors nationwide to improve medical services as part of the ministry's strategy, the statement added. The minister pledged full support for healthcare sector development in all governorates, emphasising ongoing coordination with governors and expressing gratitude to former directors for their contributions.
