Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Monday accused Israel of committing a "war crime" by starving Palestinians in Gaza, saying Cairo would not relent in its efforts to deliver aid to the enclave. The prime minister said hundreds of aid trucks had been blocked for weeks at the Rafah crossing, with more than 1,200 trucks loaded with goods facing delays. "A large portion of these supplies was spoiled due to intransigence from the other side," he told a press conference. "We have suffered huge losses... but we will never fail to help our people in Gaza," he added. The prime minister reiterated Egypt's longstanding position on the Palestinian cause, echoing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's call for a just and comprehensive settlement that restores Palestinian rights and brings peace to the Middle East. "Egypt has done everything possible and continues to do so," Prime Minister Madbouly said. "We will never hesitate for even a single day to ensure aid reaches our people in Palestine."
