Egypt reaffirmed on Sunday its categorical rejection of any plans involving the forced displacement of Palestinians, with Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdel-Aty stressing that such a scenario remains a "red line" for Cairo. "Egypt has made its position clear and consistent. We absolutely reject any forced displacement. This is a red line, and we will not allow it under any circumstances,"Minister Abdel-Aty said during a press briefing. The statement comes amid ongoing regional and international concerns over the humanitarian situation in Gaza, as negotiations continue over ceasefire efforts and post-conflict arrangements. Cairo has played a key mediating role in the conflict and has repeatedly warned against any measures that would alter Gaza's demographics or threaten regional stability.
