Independent Parliamentarian Alaa Abdel Moneim accused Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif of serious dereliction in performing his constitutional and legal duties and of breaching the oath he made to pledge the safeguarding of people's interests. In his quest for notification to Parliament, Abdel Moneim said the PM took no action and remained motionless towards cases of deviations, corruption, public fund wasting and public property seizure, which entails accusing him of screening corruption. The nonpartisan MP said he collected very important documents, accusing Dr. Nazif and his Cabinet of concealing unprecedented corruption committed by a group of white collar thieves; some of them are former ministers and others take shelter in parliamentary immunity. Abdel Moneim said: “Plundering is continuous and without shame. And the involved people are names in the authority and members in the People's Assembly and Shura Council with astronomical figures that no one can believe.” He said the documents he has collected, such as the Central Auditing Agency reports, emphasize that Dr. Nazif's government neither liquefies corruption nor fights its symbols. Rather, it gives them extra influence and chances to make more money and plunder resources.
