Suez Canal Authority head, Mohab Mamish announced that 32 Ships weighing 2 million tons transited the canal on Sunday, Youm7 News reported. Mamish pointed out that 14 ships weighing 1 million ton have crossed through the north of the canal, while 18 ships weighing also 1 million ton have crossed through the south. He added that the largest ship crossed the canal from the north was the Panamanian "MSC AMSTERDAM" container ship, coming from Morocco heading to Singapore weighing 182 thousand tons, while the largest ship to cross from the south was "COSCO ENGLAND" container ship weighing 160 thousand tons.
