Head of Congress Party, al-Raban Omar said Monday in a statement to Al-Bawaba News that the resignation of former Prime Minister, Ibrahim Mahlab's government was expected. Omar explained that such move came as a result of the corruption issue which reached former Minister of Agriculture. He pointed out to the urgent need for change within the political scene. He praised the decision to appoint Sherif Ismail as the new Prime Minister. He stressed that the resignation of the former government will not affect the upcoming parliamentary elections in any way or form, explaining that the elections' procedures are in place.
