Nigerian security sources announced the Boko Haram attack against the northeastern city of Maiduguri left 11 dead, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. The attack came one day after the inauguration of the new president, Mohamed Buhari, who stipulated to smash the Islamic rigorous group. Meanwhile, Buhari, has relocated the military operations command from Abuga, the capital to Maiduguri city. "Boko Haram shelled the southwestern area of the city leaving 5 dead, while 6 bodies others were found in several areas," Mohamed Bono, a local militant related to local battalions defending the city said. Nigerian authorities have been through deadly battles with Boko Haram insurgents since 2009 when the group came to surface slamming the western education in the country.
