Hull City's Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamadysaid on Tuesday he is looking to help the Tigers gain a Premier League promotion to cap his efforts with the Championship (second-division) side.
Elmohamady was named as Hull's player of the year afterproducing some superb displays this term, scoring three goals and creating several others.
Hull City will earn promotion to the elite Premier League if they beat Barnsley in Saturday's clash.
"It has been a big season here," Elmohamady told the club's official website on Tuesday.
"I have to say thank you to my team-mates for helping me to win the award at the weekend and, of course, to the fans of Hull City for the support they have given me."
"I just hope that we can go on and get promoted at the weekend now."
The 25-year-old, who joined Hull City on loan from Premier League side Sunderland, has also paid tribute to coach Steve Bruce.
Bruce brought the Egyptian international to Sunderland in the summer of 2009 when he took charge of the Black Cats.
"It was a big decision for me to come here (to Hull)," admitted Elmohamady.
"But I have to thank the manager for bringing me here. He was also the one that brought me over from Egypt to play in England."
"The manager also brought [Mohamed Nagy] Gedo and [Ahmed] Fathi here and they have been fantastic for us. It's great to see Egyptian players in the English league."
Ahly's duo Gedo and Fathi, who joined Hull on short-term loan deals last January, have enjoyed mixed fortunes so far. Gedo has impressed after scoring five goals while Fathi only made a few cameo appearances.
