Ismaily on a break after Arab Champions League Victory Ismaily take a rest for three days after qualifying for the round of 16 of the Arab Champions League eliminating Sudanese El-Khartoum
Ismaily football team will be on a break for three days after they defeated El-Khartoum of Sudan 5-0 at home Sunday in the Arab Champions League round of 32. “The team will resume the regular trainings on Thursday to prepare for the domestic competition in case the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) decided to hold it as scheduled [starting 15 December]” the coastal club, under the helms of manager Sabry EL-Menyawy stated on their official website Monday. Ismaily, Egypt's sole representative in Arab Champions League, have qualified to the round of 16 winning the Sudanese opponent 6-3 on aggregate as they lost 3-1 away. Ismaily, who will also play in the African Confederation Cup, played at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab Stadium behind closed doors due to security concerns in Egypt, which forced the indefinite suspension of domestic football following February's Port Said disaster. The Yellows trio, Mosad Moawad, Mahmoud Metwally and Mamoud Hamad, will be joining the Egyptian National team youth team this week amid preparation for the African Cup of Nations.
