Diaa El-Sayed will choose only 22 players from the 30-man prime squad to take part in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia next July. The Pharaohs team booked their place in the Youth World Cup tournament after defeating hosts South Africa 1-0 in the African Youth Championship. Egypt will begin their preparations with two matches against Portugal on 4 and 7 July in Lisbon, before flying to Costa Rica to face the country's U-20 national team on 13 July. El-Sayed's son will open their World Cup campaign against four-time winners Brazil in Group E, which also includes Panama and Austria.
