A first half goal by striker Mohamed Hamdy gave Egypt's U-20 team a narrow 1-0 victory over Costa Rica in a World Cup warm-up on Saturday. The towering frontman, who plays for Ittihad of Alexandria, scored the winner after 14 minutes in Egypt's second friendly against Costa Rica, after they played out a 1-1 draw on Thursday. The young Pharaohs are preparing to take part in the U-20 World Cup, which will kick off on 29 July in Colombia. Egypt will face four-time champions Brazil in the tournament's opener in Group E, which also includes Austria and Panama.
