Egypt media reported criminal law professor in Depaul University Sherif Bassiouni's statements regarding the failure of retrieving Egyptian smuggled money. Egyptologist Bassam al-Shammaa made the comparison of both former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Pharaoh Ramses II ruling Egypt for 30 years. Youm7: Head of El-Sawy Culture Wheel and under-secretary of civilization political party Mohamed El-Sawy said the party's program will provide youth with 5 million job opportunities. He also demanded Egyptians to express their opinion regarding the political isolation law. El-Sawy also said awareness is the solution to eliminate remnants of the National Democratic Party (NDP). He added the Muslim Brotherhood dominating the political scene is logical since in reality, they have been working for 80 years. Al-Ahram: Investigations conducted by the Egyptian Ministry of Justice revealed secret accounts of some Egyptian and foreign NGOs. The investigations included more than 40 people who received personal direct fund on their accounts, considered a violation of law. Egyptian court of appeal revealed some U.S. organizations had the biggest share of foreign funding after the Egyptian January 25 Revolution. They gave U.S. $500 million in funds during the last six months, while European and Arab organizations funded the rest of Egyptian individuals and organizations. These foreign foundations and organizations are not permitted to work in or give funds in Egypt. Al-Masry Al-Youm: The criminal law professor in Depaul University Sherif Bassiouni said the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak eliminated the intellectual thought in Egypt. He also said he worked as a legal advisor for the late Egyptian President Anwar Sadat during the signing of the Camp David treaty and he wrote the first manuscript of the accord but only two-thirds of it was used. Bassiouni said Sadat did not give up the Palestinian cause but Yasser Arafat had another opinion. Egypt will gain nothing if it goes to international arbitration regarding the death of Egyptian soldiers on Israeli borders, Bassiouni said. He said Egypt would have a better chance if it re-opened the file of Egyptian export gas to Israel. Bassiouni said committees are working to retrieve Egypt's smuggled money abroad, which were formed to pacify public opinion and they will not reach any conclusion. He also said most offices specialized in retrieving smuggled money are fraudulent and will acquire 40 percent of retrieved money. He pointed out military forces are not qualified to rule the state either socially and economically. Al-Akhbar: Egyptian Egyptologist Essam al-Shammaa made the comparison of Mubarak with Ramses II, both ruling Egypt for 30 years and both had the same end. Al-Shammaa expects a brilliant future for Egypt after the Egyptian January 25 revolution. Al-Shammaa said Egyptians are the first to know the social revolutions and said the theft of the Egyptian Museum during the revolution was planned and the thieves were smart because they took statues made of stone only and left the golden ones. Al-Shorouq: Egyptian Minister of Finance Hazem al-Beblawi said the idea of dropping Egyptian debts is quite hard to be realized because the world states and institutions will not deal with Egypt anymore, in case Egypt wants to drop its debts. Deputy Foreign Minister for economic affairs, Khalid Omara, said the idea is difficult to be achieved but some states are close to Egypt and want to help regardless.
