CAIRO: Argentinean Omfab Company arrives in Cairo tomorrow for the official operation process on the Inshas nuclear reactor, reported the Head of the Atomic Energy Commission, Mohamed Ezat Abdel Azim. Three of the Argentinean experts attended the experimental operation, but they left Egypt according to their schedule, Azim said. “The Inshas reactor has been operational for four days using what is called the Hot Operation,” he added. He assured the reactor did not have any technical problems. The commission will continue to irradiate chromium, iridium and iodine, all of which need 21 days to complete experiments, Azem said. “The radioactive isotopes plant will produce Molybdenum 99.” The Egyptian Energy Commission established the Inshas reactor to produce and export radioactive isotopes.
