The Ministry of Solidarity and Social Justice denied rumors of import of Russian wheat unless the quantity was high quality to this year's crop in 2011. There were claims in an Egyptian newspaper, a warning to wheat importers, a warning about a low percent of gluten and a high percent of humidity in imported Russian wheat. The ministry confirmed there are governmental committees from different monitoring authorities of the Ministries of Health and Agriculture and the monitoring authority on exports and imports. They will travel to examine the shipments in the country of origin to ensure the quality and safety of imported wheat. The ministry pointed out the wheat contracted for and is characterized by high percent of protein, reaching 12.5 percent, wet gluten ranging from 21 percent to 24 percent and a low percent of humidity ranging between 11.5 percent and 12.5 percent.
