CAIRO: A national festival celebrating the 1042nd anniversary of Cairo establishment has begun in the Egyptian capital. Cairo was officially established on July 6, 969.
"Celebrations will include opening service projects all over Cairo," said Cairo Governor Abdel Kawi Khalifa.
Cairo's governor has visited religious compounds and Foustat market. He called for the preparation of a project to develop the entire region of Ancient Egypt.
