Ahmed Hassan is firm on his decision to quit Zamalek despite claims from the club that manager Jorvan Vieira is keen to have him next season. The Egypt skipper submitted a transfer request recently and has been waiting for a ‘friendly solution' from the club to rescind his contract and join Belgium's Lierse. However, Hassan didn't receive the answer he wanted as board member Ibrahim Youssef said that new manager Vieira wants him, only for the midfield veteran to declare otherwise. “With all due respect to Ibrahim Youssef, this is not true. I have the approval of coach Vieira and I will use it when the time comes," Hassan told FilGoal.com. “My decision to quit Zamalek is final and I am still firm on the deadline I have set for them to rescind my contract before I do it myself. “The following 48 hours are my last with Zamalek." Hassan, who has one year left on his contract, joined Zamalek on a free transfer from bitter rivals Ahli last summer. The 37-year-old revealed last month that he has not been paid since his move to the other side of Cairo.
