Algerian midfielder Amir Sayoud will not be registered in Ahli's squad for next season as he has been listed for loan once again, the Cairo club said. Ahli announced the news on Sunday, adding that manager Hossam Al-Badri was forced to make the decision despite being ‘totally convinced with Sayoud's abilities'. According to the club's website, Al-Badri told Sayoud that he is a special player but asked him to get rid of some weaknesses in his game so that he can earn his comeback to the team. That said, Ahli revealed that the 21-year-old ‘should be heading the team's list' for the 2013-2014 season. The ‘presence of many established players in Sayoud's position' has also been mentioned as a reason behind the decision. The decision to dispose of Sayoud was expected after Ahli had signed Ivorian Oussou Konan to join foreign duo Dominique da Silva and Fabio Junior, who also may well be ditched if Ahli brought in another non-Egyptian. Sayoud, who spent last season on loan at Ismaili and MC Alger, has a contract until the summer of 2014 with Ahli.
