Ahli striker Emad Meteb is not included in Egypt's squad for the CAN 2013 qualifier against Central African Republic despite his club's announcement that he has been recalled. Earlier on Tuesday, Ahli said on their website that Meteb, along with Sayed Moawad and Sherif Ekrami, will re-join the national team camp this week. However, it seems there is no place for the 29-year-old striker in Bob Bradley's roster even though he is declared fit for the Central African Republic game on June 30. “We didn't call up any new player. The same squad that were named for the previous game will be selected again," Egypt team director Samir Adli told FilGoal.com. Meteb pulled out of Egypt's squad for the past couple of games after he claiming he has an ear infection just a few days before the World Cup qualifier in Guinea. It was speculated that he fell out with Bradley after he spent the whole game against Mozambique on the bench, only for both of them to play down the allegations. Egypt visit Central African Republic in Bangui knowing that they could well miss out on another Africa Cup of Nations if they failed to win by at least two goals.
