Mohamed Salah has completed one-week training with Basel as the Swiss champions are set to start negotiations with Arab Contractors over the summer transfer of the Egypt starlet. Basel are believed to have been in advanced talks with Contractors as they are now due to finalize the deal after Salah had passed a medical at the 14-time Swiss league winners. “I will return to Cairo on Friday with Basel GM to begin negotiations with Arab Contractors,” the 19-year-old told FilGoal.com. “I am expecting negotiations to end soon in order to complete the move.” Salah, an integral member of the Egypt Olympic team who qualified for the summer London Olympics, has been linked with a move to Basel since the beginning of March. The pacey forward put in an impressive display for the Olympic team during a 4-3 friendly win over Heiko Vogel's side a week ago, coming off the bench to bag a brace for Egypt. He is regarded as a potential replacement for Basel's departing star man Xherdan Shaqiri, who is leaving for Bayern Munich next term.
