Merreikh chairman Gamal Al-Wali has once again blasted Essam Al-Hadari after the Egypt keeper went AWOL on his club. Despite featuring in Merreikh's last league game against Jazirat Al-Feel last month, Al-Hadari failed to show up for training in recent weeks. His behavior, which occurred more than once through the course of his first season in Khartoum, seems to have caused his employers to lose patience with him. “There is a three-year contract and he should be committed to that,” Merreikh chairman Al-Wali was quoted as saying by Almshaheer newspaper. “We will not let him go even for $100million and he will not be second or third-choice goalkeeper, he will be our number four. “He claims that he hasn't been receiving his wages and this is totally untrue.” Al-Hadari has been far from settled with Merreikh this season as he made several pleas to leave the Sudanese league leaders. The 38-year-old was on the verge of making a season-long loan to Hull City, but the deal was not completed before the closure of the summer transfer window.
