Essam Al-Hadari resumed his duties as Merreikh goalkeeper in a 3-0 league win over Ittihad Madani, following the Khartoum club's threat to call in FIFA. The Egypt number went AWOL after his loan move to Hull City fell through last month, which added to his willingness to quit Merreikh. His indiscipline was met by dismay from the Sudanese giants, who fined him before threatening to file a complaint to FIFA, a warning which seems to have forced him to return to training this weekend, as confirmed by local media. It is not the first time that Al-Hadari has been involved in a disciplinary dispute at Merreikh as he incurred the wrath of chairman Gamal Al-Wali earlier this summer when he suddenly flied to Egypt to negotiate a move to MCDR.
Al-Badri back Meanwhile, Egyptian manager Hossam Al-Badri has also returned to the Merreikh bench following the heart problem he suffered last month. The former Ahli coach was in charge of Saturday's game against Ittihad, which saw Merreikh win by goals from foreign trio Jonas Sakuwaha, Remy Adiko and Kelechi Osunwa. The Red Devils are currently in charge of the Sudanese league table, 11 points ahead of defending champions Hilal, who still have a couple of games in hand.
