Ghana need to adopt a cautious approach to their World Cup clash against Australia on Saturday despite billed as favorites to win the game, coach Milovan Rajevac said. The Black Stars opened their campaign in a convincing fashion, beating Serbia 1-0 courtesy of a late penalty from striker Asamoah Gyan. Australia, on the other hand, were hammered 4-0 by three-time world champions Germany. "The Australian team is a very strong team," Serbian coach Rajevac told the Ghanaian Football Association website on Friday. "Their performance against Germany did not show the real picture. They can do much better, can run better, so I expect them to be much better than the performance against Germany. "For Australia, this is the last chance. So they will give their best. They are a very competitive nation and I am sure they will give off their best in the next match so we are ready for that." A victory for Ghana, who are making their second World Cup appearance, will move them closer to a place in the last-16 stage. The four-time African champions also reached the second round four years ago in Germany before being eliminated by Brazil. "For us this win is very important... we need to prepare well and concentrate well," Rajevac added. Germany, Serbia and Ghana have three points each in Group D but the latter played a game less. Serbia atoned for their opening loss to Ghana by stunning 10-man Germany with a 1-0 victory on Friday.
