Petrojet's Confederation Cup game against Sudanese side Khartoum has been postponed after the referee and his assistants failed to arrive in Suez on time due to bad weather. The Egyptian side were scheduled to host Khartoum on Saturday in the first-leg of the competition's round of 32. "CAF's technical committee informed us that the match will be postponed," Petrojet's administrative manager Mostafa Hendawi told FilGoal.com late on Friday. "The adverse weather conditions have caused travel disruption, so the referees were unable to arrive in Suez as previously scheduled. "The match will be played in the next 48 hours though. If the weather problem continues, CAF will appoint other referees for the game." Petrojet are experiencing African football for the first time in their history after finishing third in the Egyptian Premier League last season. They reached the round of 32 after defeating Zanzibar side Miembeni 4-2 on aggregate.
