AC Milan coach Leonardo hit out at Italian media for publishing 'false stories' about Ronaldinho's partying. The Brazilian playmaker has come under fire after reportedly partying in a hotel for three successive days ahead of Milan's 2-0 derby defeat to arch-rivals Inter Milan two weeks ago. "I've never studied journalism but the news that has been reported cannot be published purely on hearsay," Leonardo told a press conference on Saturday. "This week the press has shown a lack of respect but when we go through this kind of situation it strengthens the group. "I believe in my player, I know Ronaldinho better than anyone else. I know what he's done during the week (in training), he's made billions of mistakes in the past and he's paid for those. "But news without foundation, what does that signify? Nothing." Ronaldinho has relatively improved this season after failing to hit top form since joining Milan from Barcelona in the summer of 2008. He has scored nine league goals, including three in Milan's 4-0 victory over Siena last month, so far this term. "The club spoke with Ronaldinho to find out what happened and now we know, that's the end of it," Leonardo added.
