Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel is convinced that Ruud van Nistelrooy will be a great addition to Hamburg and to the Bundesliga as well. Dutch veteran Nistelrooy has completed his deal at Hamburg on Friday, and he's expected to make his debut early in February. "Ruud is a world-class striker, as long as he's fully match fit. He really adds something to Hamburger SV and I think that they will be a lot stronger with him," Van Bommel told Bild. "It's great for the Bundesliga that a high profile name such as van Nistelrooy has joined Hamburger SV. This will only improve the quality of the German league. "Ruud signed for HSV because he wants regular first team football again. He could make a return to Holland's national squad if he impresses at the Rothosen. He's still a class act." Former Real Madrid star Van Nistelrooy, 33, is seeking to play regular first-team football in order to secure a call-up for this year's World Cup.
