Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness said his team are capable of reaching the Bundesliga's top spot before next year. The Bavarian giants have only won five matches out of 11 so far this term, and now are languishing in the league table's sixth place. Although Bayern are facing one of their worst-ever seasons, Hoeness remains optimistic about their chances to win the title. "I think that we will be on top before Christmas," Hoeness was quoted by Bild as saying. "We are now missing (Arjen) Robben and (Frank) Ribery, so we are not at our best. "We are doing fine without them, but their return will definitely boost us." France ace Ribery is expected to stay on the sidelines for several months after suffering serious left knee ligaments damage. Robben is also out of action with a knee problem, but should make his return in the near future.
