Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Marseille French winger Franck Ribery, the German giants announced on their official website on Thursday. The French international has penned a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee as Bayern continue their rebuilding process. Bayern are aiming to compete for the Bundesliga title next season as well as regaining their usual place in the UEFA Champions League after missing out on a place in Europe's premier competition next season. Ribery is Bayern's sixth signing so far after acquiring the services of Luca Toni (Fiorentina), Marcell Jansen (Monchengladbach), Jan Schlaudraff (Aachen), Hamit Altintop (Schalke) and Jose Ernesto Sosa (Estudientes). The club are also targeting their former Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto, who plays for Santos. "Ze Roberto is poised to return to the club although we still have to iron out a few details," Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness told the club's official website. Moreover, the 20-time German champions have tabled a bid to sign Werder Bremen striker Miroslav Klose.
