Egypt coach Hassan Shehata believes that Mohamed Abou-Treika should be able to play against Zambia, stressing that the Ahli star's injury is minor. Abou-Treika was forced out of Wednesday's training session in Chililabombwe complaining of a hamstring injury, but Shehata allayed fears over the 31-year-old's fitness. "It is a minor hamstring strain that has been dealt with by means of the medical staff," the Egypt boss told a press conference in Zambia. "The injury should not prevent Abou-Treika from playing against Zambia." Abou-Treika plays a pivotal role in Shehata's selection ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifiers finale where they face Zambia away and Algeria at home. The classy playmaker is Egypt's top scorer in the qualifiers with five goals.
