Zamalek board member Ibrahim Youssef played down the White Knights' 3-0 defeat to Sochaux in Wednesday's pre-season warm-up. "The loss to Sochaux is justified; the game took place only one day after Zamalek's contingent arrival. The players were jet-lagged and didn't have enough time to rest. "The first half didn't witness any goals, but after the interval two defensive blunders and a controversial penalty kick caused Zamalek to concede three goals.
