Ahli midfielder Ahmed Hassan said that Zamalek's youngster Hazem Emam had a rush of blood to the head that was the reason behind their clash in the Cairo derby. Both players had to be separated after the referee blew the whistle to end the first interval as emotions ran high at the Military Academy stadium. "Hazem is still young and couldn't stay cool in such a big game," Hassan said after the goalless draw with Zamalek. "He has apologized before the restart and the problem was forgotten." Emam was received with angry chants from Ahli fans but Hassan urged the audience to keep calm. Hassan called on the media not to exaggerate the issue 'because it is nothing'. Promoted from the youth ranks in the middle of this season, Emam, a 20-year-old winger, grabbed attention with his speed and accurate crosses. He was the man of the match on Thursday night as he gave Ahli defense hard time before being substituted midway through the second-half with a thigh strain. Watch the altercation
