Video: Villa scores twice as Valencia hammer Numancia
Published in FilGoal on 19 - 10 - 2008

In-form striker David Villa notched a brace as Valencia hammered Numancia 4-0 to go two points clear at the top of the Primera Liga table.
The Spain striker needed five minutes to open the scoring. His initial shot rebounded off a defender but he gathered the loose ball to fire home from close range.
Juan Mata doubled Valencia's advantage midway through the second half after capitalizing on another sloppy defending from Numancia's backline.
Substitute Vicente added the third in the 82nd minute with a shot from a tight angle.
Villa wrapped up the victory three minutes from time to condemn Numancia to a heavy defeat.
The result put Valencia on top of the table with 19 points, two ahead of second-placed Villarreal.
Barcelona moved into third spot after claiming a 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao, courtesy of a Samuel Eto'o strike in the 63rd minute.
