Samuel Eto'o scored twice to help Barcelona come back from two goals down and draw against Real Betis in the Primera Liga on Saturday. Juan Melli put the hosts ahead after 18 minutes when he rose above Sergio Busquets to head a corner past Victor Valdes. Diminutive winger Mark Gonzalez doubled Betis' lead seven minutes later when he chested down Sergio Garcia's pass at the far post before sending a low shot home. In-form striker Eto'o maintained his dazzling form to prevent Barca from losing their first game since their defeat against Numancia in the league opener. He pulled one back on the stroke of halftime via a penalty after Andres Iniesta was brought down by Juande inside the area. Eto'o first attempt was blocked by Portuguese keeper Ricardo but he notched home on the rebound. The Cameroonian secured a share of spoils six minutes from time when he shrugged off two defenders to fire a low shot past Ricardo. He took his tally to 23 goals in as many league games. Barcelona, whose ten-game winning streak came to an end, are on top of the Primera Liga with 60 points, 13 ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who can narrow the gap if they beat Sporting Gijon on Sunday.
