Mohsen Hendawi said he was ready for Ghazl Mahalla's Egyptian League opener against Zamalek on Friday after resolving his differences with the club's board. The talented right-back was handed an EGP 5,000 fine by Mahalla for skipping training without permission. He was apparently targeting a move out of Mahalla as Zamalek were reportedly interested in acquiring his services. But Mahalla managed to keep hold of the Egypt international after granting him a pay rise. Hendawi now looks forward to helping Mahalla improve on their last season's eighth-place finish in the Egyptian League. “I accepted the club's fine, there are no problems now. I'm eager to impress in the new season, especially against Zamalek in the league's curtain raiser,” he told FilGoal.com. “I want to replicate last season's fine performances, which prompted several clubs to express their interest in signing me. I was also called up to the Egyptian national team.”
