England boss Fabio Capello is being investigated by an Italian state prosecutor on suspicion of withholding information from a court. The 61-year old Italian tactician is accused of using threats and violence to intimidate players into signing up for the GEA World Sports agency. Former Juventus chief executive Antonio Giraudo is also submitted to same prosecution involving six men. The former Juventus and Real Madrid boss refuted all those claims and his lawyers insisted that he will be quickly cleared. "We are really surprised by the Public Prosecutor's declaration. "Mr Capello was heard as a witness in the proceedings against the GEA Company, and confirmed before the Court of Rome all of the declarations that he had already provided to the Public Prosecutor during the investigation. "Mr Capello made it clear that he has never been involved in the conclusion of professional football players' contracts, and has only limited and indirect knowledge of this subject. Caepllo was in charge of AS Roma between 1999 and 2004 before moving to Juventus until 2006 where the club was at the centre of Italy's match-fixing scandal. The England manager denied being involved in any of the players' contracts or negotiations and had previously said in an interview that he knew that many players were "gravitating towards that company."
