Arsene Wenger is confident his Arsenal side can knock Liverpool out of the Champions League when they play each other in the quarter-finals. "We know we can beat them and therefore it is the form of the day that will be the decider," he was quoted as saying by the club website on Friday. "We will focus and concentrate to be at our best on the day." Though, the Frenchman voiced his respect for the five-time European champions. "It is an interesting and challenging draw," Wenger said. "They raise their game in the Champions League." Arsenal and Liverpool are two of four English sides reached the quarter-finals for the first time in the Champions League history. Last season's semi-finalists Manchester United were paired with Roma while Chelsea are set to play Fenerbahce. The winners of Arsenal-Liverpool tie might face Chelsea in the semis, should the Blues see off their Turkish opponents. And Wenger has no problem in playing English clubs en route to the first Champions League title in the Gunners history. "You know when you have four clubs from England in the quarter-finals; you will have to play one or two at some stage," he said. "If you want to go to the final and win the final you have to get through that." In between the two legs of the European tie, Arsenal will host Liverpool in the Premiership. "We play them three times (in a week) and you will not know what competition it is. All that you will know is it is Liverpool," Wenger commented. Their first league game ended in a 1-1 draw at Anfield.
