Premiership giants Arsenal and Liverpool are set to lock horns in what should be the Champions League quarter-finals' most exciting tie. The Emirates Stadium confrontation on Wednesday will be the first of a heated triple-header between the two rivals this week. Apart from two Champions League legs, the Gunners will host Rafa Benitez's team next weekend in a crucial league game for both sides. "It's certainly the highest, because if you look at the next ten days that will define our season," said Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. "I strongly believe we are in the championship race. On top of that, we play two Champions League games against Liverpool so the next ten days will be vital. The impact of the first game is always vital." The French manager is hopeful that the recent 3-2 thrilling victory over Bolton could help the team regain form after a period of shaky performances. "We have the belief we can beat anybody and in any competition, it's true we had a little dip recently but our victory at Bolton did us a lot of good," he said. "It was very important that we got our confidence back and that our mental strength was rewarded." Arsenal should have winger Alexander Hleb fit for the game after he received a knock at the weekend, midfielder Gilberto Silva is also available after recovering from a groin injury. Everything Clear
Main man: Torres Liverpool boss Benitez believes that the Premiership duo will play their cards on the table as both sides are well known to each other. However, he is confident that his team have more experience than their English rivals in European competitions. "You know everything more or less about them, they know everything more or less about you," Benitez said. "The situation is very different because this is the Champions League, and we have knowledge of how to play these games. We have confidence in Europe and we fear no side. They must fear us." The Reds won eight out of their last nine games, inspired by vintage displays from Spanish goal machine Fernando Torres. The former Atletico Madrid hitman has 28 goals to his tally so far this season, and is believed to be his manager's focus of expectation. "We have a lot of confidence. We have won a lot of games in a row. We are in a good moment and Torres can be a big difference," added the Spaniard. Elsewhere, another Premiership side have a tough task as Chelsea visit Turkish champions Fenerbahce at the hectic Sukru Saracoglu. The Blues are sweating on the fitness of key man Frank Lampard and goalkeepr Petr Cech.
