Mido should be ready to take part in Middlesbrough's Premiership clash against Chelsea on Saturday after recovering from a hamstring injury, coach Gareth Southgate said. "Mido has trained this week and provided there is no reaction he should be ready for Saturday," Southgate told the club's official website. The 24-year-old striker initially picked up the injury during Boro's match against Sunderland before aggravating it in the 2-0 defeat to Everton. Mido missed the 3-1 loss to Manchester City as well as Egypt's 1-0 win over Botswana in the 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifiers. The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has never scored against Chelsea but was sent-off in Spurs' 2-0 defeat to Blues in 2005 after referee Rob Styles adjudged him to have elbowed Asier Del Horno. Southgate will be also boosted by the return of Mido's striking partner Tuncay while Jeremie Aliadiere is doubtful for Chelsea match due to illness.
