Barcelona attacking duo Eidur Gudjohnsen and Santiago Ezquerro are unlikely to have much playing time with the Catalans, according to technical secretary Txiki Begiristain. Icelandic striker Gudjohnsen has struggled to establish himself since arriving from Chelsea in the summer of 2006 while Ezquerro, who joined from Athletic Bilbao, had so few matches under his belt. The duo has moved further down the pecking order after Giovani Dos Santos and Borjan Krkic emerged from youth ranks. "Gudjohnsen believes that he still has a chance here, but at the moment the coaches are putting more emphasis on Giovani and Bojan," Begiristain was quoted as saying by Mundo Deportivo. Begiristain has also hinted that both players could depart in the January transfer window. "If Ezquerro and Gudjohnsen are not given playing time then we'll look for a solution that suits all of us." "Of course, if an offer does come in, we must discuss it with the player. I know that Ezquerro is considering a move abroad," he added.
